This webinar provided information about the Policy Challenge Grant program, an annual award to support researchers in generating new insights, fostering engagement with policymakers and supporting improved policy outcomes.
Our annual grant program supports outstanding academics undertaking applied public policy research or translating existing research for a policy audience. Grants of between $25,000 and $100,000 are available to researchers tackling major public policy challenges currently facing NSW. This webinar provided an overview of the grants program and application process with an opportunity for Q&A.
Past grant recipients spoke about their experience of applying for the grant and working with the Institute.
Research themes for the 2025 grant round are:
- Accelerating the energy transition
- Advancing models for early intervention
- Driving manufacturing and productivity.
The grants are available to researchers from the following university partners: University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, University of Technology Sydney, University of New South Wales and University of Wollongong.
