APPI supported the NSW Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality & Sport (DCITHS) to consult on how tax policy could better support Australia’s cultural sector, ahead of the refresh of the National Cultural Policy. We developed a discussion paper, analysed more than 300 submissions and supported the delivery of the Art of Tax Reform Summit at the Sydney Opera House. The work helped build national momentum for creative-industries tax reform, including coordinated submissions to the Commonwealth from state arts ministers.
