About the project
Data centres are the engines of the digital economy, but their rapid growth presents a major challenge for Australia’s clean energy transition. A research team from the University of Technology Sydney, led by Dr Bronwyn Cumbo, investigates how the expansion of data centres in New South Wales can align with the state’s Net Zero goals. To ensure the roadmap leads to real policy impact, the project team is working directly with government, industry and community partners in Sydney’s growing data centre regions.
