About the project
Falls among older adults are a growing public health challenge driving hospitalisations, aged care admissions and rising system costs. This project, led by Dr Marina Pinheiro from the University of Sydney, develops a simulation tool to help policymakers test and scale effective falls prevention strategies across New South Wales.
Using a co-design approach, the research team engages policymakers and health agencies at every stage, ensuring the model meets real-world decision-making needs.
